Ok, Internet. Ok. Here we go!
So here’s my thing: I wrote a kids’ book. Now, I have to illustrate said kids’ book. I just counted, and I need about 30ish illustrations, which is intimidating, especially because I’m pinning my heart on getting this published for real. Luckily, I have a lot of free time at the moment, but I want to have this project 90% done by the end of the 2013. So here’s my idea: I’m going to post what I’ve done at the end of each workday on this site– and at the end of each week, there should be 4 or 5 finished illustrations, total. If there aren’t, then I would really appreciate it if anyone reading this sighed and glared and told me how they’re not angry they’re just disappointed, etc. My willpower works best when it has to keep pace with my pride– it doesn’t do well in a vacuum.
To start with, here’s the story. It’s about a rabbit named Bruno, and a fox, monsters, and the nature of fear.
If you have any thoughts or questions on the book itself, I’d love to hear them on this post!
